Questions

the ones everybody asks

Do I have to be a Shelton family?

No. Shelton After School has always been open to the public, and so is The Weekend Yard. Current Shelton families do get a special rate — ask us.

Can I bring my own caterer and decorator?

Yes, always. We just need a certificate of insurance from each vendor before the date, plus a name and mobile number for whoever will be on site. If you'd rather not organise it, we have people we work with every week and can hand you the list.

What happens if it rains?

This is Miami, so we plan for it. The gym, the piazza and both cafeterias are indoors — we'll agree a wet-weather room when you book, at no extra cost.

How do I pay?

A deposit holds your date, with the balance due before the event. We take payment by Zelle. There's a refundable damage deposit too, returned after the space is checked.

Can you organise entertainment?

Yes — and this is the part no other venue can do. The coaches and teachers who run our after-school programmes can run a session inside your booking: soccer, tennis and pickleball, roller skating, art, robotics or live music.

How far ahead should I book?

Weekends fill first. Message us as soon as you have a date in mind — holding it costs nothing until you confirm.
